Gretchen Wilson made an apparance on the Chelsea Lately show Monday April 19th. As Gretchen was interviewed by Chelsea, she talked about her previous night at the AMC's. Gretchen jokingly tells the audience that her tour bus left from Las Vegas to drive to California in the middle of the night so they wouldn't cause anymore trouble while drinking in Las Vegas. Chelsea brings up the fact that she dropped out of high school whne she was fifteen years old. Gretchen says this is true, but she recently went back to get her GED. Gretchen has been bartending since she was 14 or 15 and grew up in Illinos. She just released her newest album titled I've Got Your Country Right Here. She tells the audience that she grew up listening to traditional country music and hard core rock and roll such as ACDC and Lynyrd Skynyrd. She used the mix of the two popular genres to create her own type of rock and roll country music. She stated that she didn't like being restricted to just one or the other and felt that she had to stay within a country music box until she realized she could intregrate rock and roll into her music.
